It’s been my experience that each layer of consciousness is guarded or delimited by a belief system that forms a gateway to the next level. Beliefs, no matter how encompassing, are limitations. So, when you are ready to go to the next level, you are invited (or forced LOL) to explode, drop, or jettison—the beliefs that keep you inside the circle of the reality you are leaving.
In order to leave the old reality, we have to no longer carry with us any fragment of the old one with us. Since the reality that we have been in is mostly emotional/mental this involves losing “faith” and an experience of “flatness”—that is because you are seeing that the old reality IS flat from a multidimensional or higher dimensional view. Emotionally, you feel weird, disconnected, and numb or flat because the old reality requires your emotional input.
Even the idea of a beneficial supreme power or a vision of a better world requires your emotional input to sustain it, as we are calling it into existence with our thoughts and especially our emotions. When you reach a certain stage in your process, you will be called into this “void” where nothing that you used to love, hate, or feel anything about will suddenly feel stale and inconsequential. And now, nothing is consequential.
The ego has a really hard time navigating during this period—which can last years—because it has literally nothing to do. This is the time when triggers become more obvious—each trigger is tempting you to return to the old world. In other words, the emotion needed to engage the old world will come up again and again until it isn’t there anymore.
The mind has been trained in survival: it needs to constantly monitor its surroundings in order to protect itself and its person from potential threats. Everything in survival mode must be judged in terms of its potential survival value: job, money, relationship, etc. The mind has this programming to constantly monitor itself and the world around it in these terms.
There is no freedom in survival mode. Only once the mind is allowed to leave survival mode can the individual be free to create the world he or she truly wants. As we disengage from the mind’s incessant need to know, to catalogue, describe, and talk about its experience we can finally see the world for what it is, and see that we have the choice to choose.
Only then does the Gate finally open.
